Water Research Business
We face significant challenges in water use within agricultural and productivity systems. Winemaking involves a complex combination of agricultural, chemical, sanitising, bottling, and distribution processes, each imposing unique demands on local water resources. Water footprints offer valuable information and strategies to enhance water use efficiency. We propose to develop a tool/system that integrates other technologies to evaluate the water footprint in vineyards and wineries, providing wine producers with better information to optimise water use. Implementing appropriate interventions, tools, and technical support can improve water management and reduce costs, leading to more sustainable wine production practices and promoting water conservation for future generations.
