Plasmid Therapy

Led by Jon Iredell and Muhammad Kamruzzaman, Plasmid Therapy develops novel, safe, scalable, and affordable solutions to eradicate antimicrobial resistance genes from bacterial populations without disturbing the bacteria themselves or driving resistance adaptations.

The Plasmid Therapy Team is based in Sydney at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research. The team has a strong track record in basic science and clinical medicine and in delivering similar complex and multidisciplinary advanced therapeutics programs Australia-wide. First-in-human clinical studies are now open and the team is preparing for FDA pre-IND applications.
