Calcined clay innovation

The cement industry is responsible for 7-8% of global CO2 emissions, which requires an innovative solution to cut down the carbon footprint of cement concrete. Recently, lime and calcined clay concrete has been gaining huge traction due to its lower carbon footprint.

However, it has some limitations, such as (i) low reactivity compared to that of Portland cement, which hinders its early strength development and (ii) the strength results are highly dependent on the type and concentration of clay minerals. We have overcome that barrier through an innovative thermochemical treatment process that transforms low-reactivity clays into highly reactive cementitious material.
