AuScope Earth Living Lab

Climate change increasingly affects Australians through bushfires, floods, coastal erosion, and natural resource scarcity. Earth systems are stressed, yet Australia falls behind on its net zero and SDG commitments. Research in geoscience is critical to getting Australia on track through critical minerals discovery, environmental monitoring and more. We are working to create more policy and practice outcomes that are enabled by AuScope laboratories, data, software and expertise. We do this by building a research translation strategy, and possibly a ‘living lab’ collaboration space to address barriers—like awareness and access—experienced by people across our ecosystem that are unearthed in ON Prime.
