Agricultural EV Charger
This research project aims to design and optimise an off-grid solar-powered electric vehicle charging system tailored for rural agricultural settings. By integrating photovoltaic panels, battery storage, and smart control strategies, the system will support the continuous operation of electric farm vehicles where grid access is limited.
Using simulation and techno-economic optimisation, the research will deliver reliable, cost-effective charging solutions to replace diesel-powered machinery. The outcomes will promote sustainable agriculture, reduce emissions, and enhance energy resilience in remote areas. Research findings will inform policy, guide industry adoption, and support future grant applications for scalable renewable electrification in farming communities.
