David Annetts
Research Scientist in Geophysics
I am a geophysicist who specialises in the forward modelling, analysis and interpretation of electromagnetic prospecting data. Since the early 1990s, I have alternated between industry and academia and have degrees from The University of Sydney and Macquarie University.
I am the Immediate Past President of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG) and a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Association of Computing Machinery Fortran Special Interest Group.
My work with the DEI-FSP centres around the development of a code designed to model the electromagnetic response of a thick target hosted by an n-layered earth. This code is intended for use as a kernel in inversion algorithms and in sensitivity studies for practical survey design.
