Tourism Destination Sustainability (TDS)
Sustainability is no longer a choice – it is a fundamental requirement for the long-term viability of destinations, the industry, and communities. The Tourism Destination Sustainability (TDS) project recognises the need to protect natural, cultural, and community assets while maximising economic and social benefits.
By engaging local governments and tourism organisations, industry, and communities, the project offers practical, scalable actions to embed sustainability across entire destinations. It empowers stakeholders to align tourism development with environmental stewardship and community wellbeing.
For the industry, TDS offers a roadmap to move beyond compliance and lead in shaping resilient, future-ready destinations built on sustainable principles.
