Spinal Injury Project
Researchers at Griffith University has developed a nerve repair technology, whereby patient cells are harvested from the nose, uniquely processed and grown into customizable orientations to match the path an injured nerve is required to grow. This 3D cell construct is then implanted into the injury site of the patient where it facilitates the regeneration of the injured nerve, leading to improvement in sensory and motor function.
