SolidSense
Unwanted impurities in natural gas can freeze and accumulate inside pipelines, leading to blockages that require complete system shutdown to rectify which costs millions of dollars each. We have developed solid deposition sensors that provides early warning on blockages, notifying operators when solids deposit on the pipeline walls.
The sensors increase the reliability of oil and gas processing, transport, and storage by allowing operators to reduce the frequency of blockages through real-time pipeline monitoring.
It improves on conventional techniques by reducing the need to maintain a safe temperature margin, the injection of anti-freeze, or scheduled shutdowns to remove accumulated solids – all of these strategies have a significant operational cost.
