Smart IoT and Drones

This project will use a method of collecting images of the crop farm using a lightweight drone (Drone 1) and detecting weeds from the images using image processing techniques, as drone-based image processing has been proven efficient for weed detection.

Based on the detected weed locations that are obtained from image processing, an Artificial Intelligence driven Internet of Drones (IoD) system will be developed. This system will direct Drone 2 to spray herbicide only on targeted areas.
