NextGen HydroMeasure
Our project delivers hyper-accurate, near real-time insights into both field-scale and root-zone soil moisture, empowering farmers and water managers to optimize irrigation and boost crop health. By leveraging advanced microwave satellite radiometer data (L-band), including a P-band radiometer (drone and tower) with its superior penetration, and an innovative hyper-resolution land surface model, our solution captures dynamic moisture variations at both shallow and deep levels.
In addition, our novel timeseries analysis using the matrix profile method enhances irrigation scheduling by detecting trends and anomalies. This user-friendly system enables efficient water use, and supports sustainable agricultural practices without disclosing proprietary details.
