Immigrant Communities and ASD Project

After attending four CSIRO ON Prime sessions, our Immigrant Communities and ASD project has evolved from an initial concept into a purpose-driven, community-informed initiative. Through mentoring, team reflection, and stakeholder engagement, we have identified key challenges faced by South Asian immigrant families: language barriers, cultural stigma, and fragmented autism support systems.

The program helped us refine our “why,” strengthen collaboration, and design practical pathways toward massive impact. We are now developing a culturally responsive digital and community-based engagement model to connect families, mentors, and service providers, aiming to create sustainable, inclusive, and trust-based support networks across Australia especially Victoria.
