ON Accelerate

For the entrepreneurial researchers. ON Accelerate helps publicly funded research teams to translate their great ideas into real-world impact as a startup.

Designed to launch research-driven ventures into market, the structured accelerator program focuses on business models, market validation, capital raising and storytelling. We provide access to a network of experts, advisors, and investors to test and validate their idea as a commercial venture and gain experience to help raise funds and build a company.

Outcomes from our alumni teams include:

  • Developing strong entrepreneurial skills to complement technical expertise, including networking, pitching and investor engagement.
  • Being equipped with knowledge and skills around the commercialisation journey.
  • Identifying their customer and the specific problem they are solving.
  • Building and validating their investment ready, innovative, sustainable, and scalable business model.
  • Developing a network of experts, investors, and supporters, including connections with venture funding opportunities.

All alumni teams have graduated from the program by meeting minimum attendance requirements and presenting their ideas at Showcase. The program is designed to help these teams that complete the full program be attractive for external funding.
