ECU Microbial Ecology
Environmental rehabilitation strategies can be plagued by suboptimal soil health and replanting success. The positive influence of soil biology on soil health is widely accepted, but is not properly reflected by traditional soil testing or rehabilitation strategies.
Our solution targets this gap, leveraging the functional capacity of soil microorganisms – key drivers of nutrient cycling – as a proxy for soil health. Using a simple test, we profile functional biological activity, allowing us to tailor interventions to best promote sustainable plant growth in all environments. Ultimately, our combined solution will improve revegetation outcomes and support more resilient, ecologically-sound rehabilitation practices.
