EcoPhage Tech
Our project focuses on tackling the issues of food contamination by foodborne pathogens using green and safe food processing or preservative technology that comprises of bacteriophage. In comparison to other available food processing aids or food preservatives, our technology (in the form of solution) differentiates from the market where the technology is:
- Easy to produce
- Has high target-specificity only against foodborne pathogens
- Self-activating and self-limiting
- Can be applied in various food processing stage and different food matrix (i.e. poultry, RTE foods, fruits and vegetables)
More importantly it is also considered non-hazardous (safe to touch and even upon ingestion).
