The number of patients diagnosed with cancer spreading to the brain is unfortunately increasing. Treatment is made harder due to the small number of drugs that cross into the brain.

Normal chemotherapy kills cancer cells but indiscriminately kills healthy cells too. We have developed a system that turns a chemotherapy agent into a targeted delivery system so it only targets cancer cells, reducing side effects. We have also joined this to a system that can slingshot this package into the brain to only target cancer cells. This will lead to a paradigm change in how cancer is treated in future.
