This webpage hosts a dataset of Commonwealth, State and Territory public support programs and initiatives of relevance to hydrogen-related activities in Australia.

Funding information is defined under two categories:

  • Hydrogen specific support:  Refers to programs that specifically target hydrogen projects and applications for funding.
  • Hydrogen eligible support: Refers to programs that do not specifically target hydrogen projects and applications for funding but are inclusive of a broad range of net zero/clean energy transition innovations and applications (i.e., decarbonising heavy manufacturing, renewable energy technologies etc.)

The collation and maintenance of this dataset, while hosted on HyResource, is a collaborative effort between all jurisdictions and is managed by the Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). It will be updated on a quarterly basis to account for changes in funding structures and to improve the overall accuracy of reported funding totals.

This dataset is current as of December 2023 and prepared for information purposes. It is prepared on the basis that it is as accurate as possible. While care is taken in preparation of the information, and it is provided in good faith, it does not guarantee that the information is totally reliable, accurate or complete. Accordingly, the information should not be relied upon solely in making investment or commercial decisions.
