Sophie has a passion for protecting and caring for Country using a combination of western science concepts and Indigenous knowledges/science.

Biography

Sophie is a proud Alywarr (Ah/yell/wah/da) woman, whose family now reside in Mount Isa, Queensland (QLD), currently working in the Water Security program in Adelaide in the ecohydrology space.

Previously, Sophie has worked on cattle stations as a Jillaroo and as an Indigenous Ranger with the Lake Eyre Basin Rangers, both positions based throughout North-West QLD. She has a passion for protecting and caring for Country using a combination of western science concepts and Indigenous knowledges/ science with its way of observing and understanding Country.
