Dr Osmar Luiz

Visiting Scientist

Osmar is a visiting scientist from Charles Darwin University with a research focus in quantitative aquatic ecology.

Biography

Dr Osmar Luiz is a Senior Research Fellow in Quantitative Aquatic Ecology at Charles Darwin University. Osmar’s research focuses on the biology of marine and freshwater fishes and coral reef conservation. He is currently exploring different statistical approaches to modelling the spatial distribution of biodiversity and predicting climate change impacts on biodiversity, with particular emphasis on trait-based functional approaches.
