Project description:

The Hyundai Motor Company Australia is installing an integrated hydrogen production, storage and refuelling station system at its Sydney office.

The integrated system under installation will replace the existing 350bar hydrogen refueller station in Macquarie Park that has been operation since 2014 and was decommissioned in June 2023 to allow construction of the new 700bar PDC SimpleFuel that will be installed by Pacific Energy.

The facility will employ a 60 kW PEM electrolyser with the capacity to produce up to 20 kilograms of hydrogen per day, as well as providing 700bar refuelling capability.

Hydrogen storage capacity is at 45 kilograms.

Power for the electrolyser will be sourced from the grid via a green-based Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
