Project description
The project proponent has undertaken a feasibility study to examine the possibility of displacing fossil-fuel sourced electricity production to remote communities/mining operations through power supplied by renewable hydrogen. The study was completed in the first part of 2021. The outcomes of the study were not supportive of implementing a hydrogen system and the project has ceased.
Milestones
January 2020: The feasibility study for this project is one of seven feasibility studies to which funds were allocated in January 2020 by the Western Australian government under its Renewable Hydrogen Fund.
