Project description

(This project was previously listed on HyResource as CRH-Tasmania.)

Hydrogen Tasmania is a project that would supply renewable hydrogen to the domestic market throughout the State.

As a 10 megawatt electrolyser project powered by hydro and wind power, it would be located at Bell Bay with the precise location being determined in consultation with land owners.

The domestic offtake opportunities lie in mobility (trucks, buses and ferries), blending hydrogen with natural gas in collaboration with Tas Gas, displacing diesel where it is used for power generation, and for supply to industry.

On February 8, 2022, ASX-listed company, ReNu Energy Limited (ASX:RNE) completed its acquisition of CRH under a scrip-for-scrip transaction, with the ASX announcement noting such transaction would allow CRH to progress its opportunities.
