Research description
The ARC Training Centre for the Global Hydrogen Economy was one of five ARC Training Centres announced by the Federal Government in July 2020. The project received AUD$4.92 million in funding for a five-year program.
The aim of the Centre is to build enabling capacity in hydrogen innovation in a short timeframe through the generation of new technologies and by equipping a workforce with the required skills to support the development and scaling-up of hydrogen generation and transport.
The Centre will bring together global research institutions, industry partners, government agencies and hydrogen start-ups to form an international multi-disciplinary consortium.
Key focus areas include hydrogen production, storage and utilisation, development of safety systems and controls, commercialisation, public acceptance and skills development.
