The Wireless Group focuses on wireless communications, localisation, imaging and sensing for applications from radio astronomy to telecommunications, and industrial safety to medicine. We invented Wi-Fi, and our recent innovations are contributing to exports by Australian companies in mining and telecommunications. Our research is developing the next generation of highly efficient communication and highly accurate localisation technologies at low cost for ubiquitous deployment. The research is supported by a engineering team that designs and builds world leading wireless systems.
