Manoj Khanal

Manoj Khanal is a senior research engineer working in coal mining research program with the mine geomechanics team. He has a Dr.-Ing. degree in mechanical process engineering, and master and bachelor degrees in mechanical engineering. He has worked in various research organizations in Australia and abroad with more than 13 years of extensive experience in numerical modelling and experimentations. He has worked in mechanical, mechanical process, bio-mechanical, mineral processing and mining engineering. His current areas of interest are comminution, mechanical process engineering, numerical modelling, mechanical engineering, mechanics of materials, computational mechanics, geomechanics, mine water ingress and impact of mining on surface subsidence, groundwater and surface water.
