Vietnam’s National AI Strategy focusses on research and development
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology with unlimited applications. Top AI experts from Vietnam will discuss research and the application of AI in an online workshop today, hosted by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and supported by Australia’s #Aus4Innovation program. Topics will include global AI research trends, natural language processing, and AI recommendation systems.
This is the third of a series of five workshops that will take place until September to disseminate and support the implementation of Vietnam’s National Strategy on AI. Australia through Aus4Innovation has been working with MOST to publicise the strategy as part of a comprehensive agenda for supporting AI development in Vietnam.

Participants of the workshop include authorities, scientists, experts and 6 experienced speakers in research and development of artificial intelligence technology.
Assoc.Prof-Dr Bui Thu Lam, Secretary General of Vietnam Club of Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities of ICT (FISU) with a presentation on the trends of research and development of AI in the world as well as like the situation in Vietnam.
Prof-Dr. Nguyen Le Minh, Head of the AI Laboratory of the Japan Institute of Advanced Science and Technology, will share practical experiences in natural language processing that can help with human-machine communication.
Prof-Dr. Tu Minh Phuong, Chairman of the institutional council of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, with a presentation on models and problems for building recommendation systems, one of the areas of AI that is trending in popularity. especially in services for citizens
