Sharing knowledge and experience between Australia and Vietnam to strengthen our innovation systems
Over the last year, the Aus4Innovation Program has strengthened connections between Australia and Vietnam and delivered real impact.
This flagship program under the Australia-Vietnam Innovation Partnership sets both countries up for future collaboration as we face new challenges and opportunities together.
This showcase of our projects and people demonstrates the impact that the program has achieved over the past two years.
130 partners brought together, 43 partnerships established and enhanced across the program
8 innovation partnership grants awarded with a total funding of AUD 3.6 million
6,000 people in Red River Delta and Central Vietnam provided with safe water (arsenic free)
200 radiologists received access to VIETRAD – the first ever cloud-based training platform for better breast cancer detection
Strong partnerships are fundamental to the success of the program. Two of our key initiatives – the Innovation Partnership Grant program and Science Commercialisation Partnerships program are creating opportunities for greater collaboration between businesses, researchers and government agencies. These programs are fostering partnerships through projects in Vietnam and bilaterally with Australia.
Program participants are benefiting through greater access to global knowledge networks, supply chains and markets. Explore their stories in our image gallery.

We invite you to explore the ways our projects and programs are contributing to peoples’ security, prosperity, and wellbeing.
The Aus4Innovation program is building a lasting partnership that will allow Australia and Vietnam to work together on the industries of the future through programs like our Policy Exchange and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
As we look to the future, these initiatives will help prepare policy-makers with better strategic tools and data and support a cohesive innovation system that adapts and responds to change. They will also build the capacity in individuals and institutions to effectively commercialise technology.
