Australia’s support in science and innovation for Vietnam acknowledged

September 26th, 2022

The Government of Vietnam has affirmed the pivotal role of science, technology and innovation (STI) in addressing emerging economic, societal and institutional challenges. This is shown through the introduction of the Strategy for the development of STI in Vietnam until 2030 in May this year.

In that light, today Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted a National Conference to promote the role of technology transfer and science and technology markets. The conference gathered leaders of ministries, provinces and cities, corporates, as well as research and knowledge institutes.

At the conference, Australian Ambassador Andrew Goledzinowski shared about Australia’s experience in fostering scientific discoveries and science commercialization. He also took this opportunity to reaffirm Australia’s on-going commitment in supporting an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam, most notably through Aus4Innovation program in partnership with the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology.
