QMEA student ambassadors and teachers visit
Last Thursday we received a visit from students and teachers from the Queensland Mineral and Energy Academy (QMEA).
QMEA is a highly successful program placing students onto pathways into the resources sector and other science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) industries. The Academy’s programs and experiences broaden students’ and teachers’ knowledge of the resources sector and provide a talent pipeline of employees into VET and STEM-related careers, with a strong focus on female and indigenous students.
This visit is part of our ongoing commitment and support of STEM education and it included a demo of the Robotics and Autonomous System Group’s research and technologies.
Both the teachers and students showed a lot of interest in our work and we hope that the knowledge we shared excites future scientists and engineers from this great group of students.
