Help us build our next-generation 3D SLAM software
Wildcat acceleration development
Wildcat SLAM is our next-generation 3D SLAM software based on LiDAR sensors. It is a cutting edge C++ Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) library currently being developed by CSIRO’s Data61 Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group (RASG).
Wildcat is a key enabling technology in robotics perception for autonomous robot operation. It processes various sensor data, including 3D lidar and IMU data, in order to produce an accurate trajectory of the robot in 3D space as well as a detailed 3D point cloud map of the explored environment.
Wildcat is an evolution of previous SLAM technologies developed by RASG, which is being successfully commercialised in collaboration with GeoSLAM and being used as a key technology in a UAV (drone) automation startup.
We are currently recruiting for various 3-months contractor positions specific for this project:
- QA Specialist – 3 months
- C++ tools development Software Engineer – 3 months
- Cross Platform C++ Software Engineer – 3 months
- UI/UX Software Engineer – 3 months
- Technical Writer – 3 months
