CSIRO’s Data61 team finished 5th on the DARPA Tunnel Circuit
After action-packed days competing in the DARPA Subterranean Challenge Tunnel Circuit at the NIOSH mine in Pittsburgh, USA, our team has brought home the 5th place amongst 11 teams competing – an excellent and well-earned result.

A big shout out goes to our partners Emesent and Georgia Tech, as well as to the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics for loaning us an entire hangar as a working space and for testing of our robots. We greatly appreciate their support.
The team is now beginning preparations for the next stage of the challenge, the Urban Circuit, scheduled to take place in February 2020.
