CSIRO researchers collaborate widely across the bushfire sector

The National Bushfire Intelligence Capability brings together stakeholders from across Australia.

The NBIC Council is formed by members of state and territory land management and emergency management agencies, in addition to representatives of Commonwealth agencies involved in disaster risk reduction and response.

The NBIC Council ensures collaboration and provides direct input into the design of NBIC systems, services, products and related standards.

Starting in May 2023, Stage 2 enables broader participation across the Emergency Management, Land Management and Land Use Planning domains.

Including people in the design of NBIC means that we are identifying and implementing new governance systems to support effective national data sharing and co-development of outputs.

Our collaborations aim to link complementary projects and integrate data systems where possible.
