The Data Assimilation Climate Modelling & Ensemble Generation Team

The modelling-DA-EPS activity 1 has been closely monitoring CAFE-88 which is rapidly approaching completion of its first year of output (1988). Work has begun on configuring CAFE-60 which will generate analyses that will provide the basis for forecasts each November between 1960- present to meet the requirements for the WMO GDPC. the activity has several submitted papers, either under review or in revision. Work will shortly begin on our next major task which is to implement the forecast system on pawsey.
