The Southeast Australian Marine Ecosystem Survey (SEA-MES) is a a multi-year, interdisciplinary project that is revisiting previous bio-physical and ecosystem surveys of the Australian southeast continental shelf, and documenting changes in the 25 years since it was last examined.

Started in 2016, the External Fisheries Assessment Reporting project team has assisted the Australian Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) to fulfill their National Priority 1: ensuring Australian fishing products are sustainable and acknowledged to be so.

CSIRO O&A funded the development of MICE - “Models of Intermediate Complexity for Ecosystem assessments” to complement the ecosystem modelling toolbox needed to support tactical management decisions in fisheries and conservation.
