Workspace and Visual Studio 2019

April 3rd, 2020

The release of Workspace 6.2 marks the first time we are releasing a binary package for Windows built with Visual Studio 2019. We recommend that developers migrate to the latest version of Workspace and Visual Studio 2019 to stay up to date and access all the latest C++ 17/20 features made available for the VS2019 compiler. For developers that prefer to use Visual Studio 2017 or 2015, your Workspace plugins should still compile against Workspace 6.2 by utilising Visual Studio’s Universal C Runtime. If you have an issues compiling your plugin against Workspace 6.2, it’s recommended to delete your old build directory and do a full recompilation of your code.

As always, get in touch with the Workspace team of you have any comments or questions!
