Description:

Mixed Reality environments deal with the real time interactive merging of the physical and digital worlds and the advanced types of interactions that are enabled via this unification. Data61 has recently created a Mixed Reality Laboratory at its Clayton site. The laboratory has: 1) sensors to map the physical space, its objects and their interactions, 2) digital descriptions of elements in the physical space, 3) real time computational models that interpret the physical space, its objects and their interactions, and 4) capabilities to project information from the models into the laboratory in real time. The project will involve the development of a number of Demonstrator Applications to showcase the Augmented Reality capabilities of the laboratory. The successful applicant will developing applications to run on a Microsoft HoloLens.
