Applied AI Systems Team study novel techniques to enable the practical use of machine learning modules in software systems. Our research focuses on the following aspects:
- Data ingestion, data sharing and knowledge representation and transferring techniques for machine learning pipelines;
- Explainability techniques for understanding machine learning system behaviours to support trustworthiness in decision making;
- Techniques for representing and integrating domain knowledge for machine learning system development in different scientific and business areas.
