RoboCup2019 – exciting the upcoming AI & robotics workforce
On Saturday 10 August, our team took our bots to meet an enthusiastic crowd of little roboticists at the 2019 RoboCup Junior competition at The University of Queensland.
Featuring a combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics, the weekend saw multiple robots competing in a variety of league competitions.
RoboCup fosters the learning of technical skills including programming, engineering and technical reporting through competitive challenges for primary and senior school students.
The event encourages collaboration, further education and provide students with a platform to “give it a go” and have fun.
As a sponsor of the Junior Poster Area, the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group is proud to have been part of this event for the third year in a row.
