Gizmo: A versatile hexapod for confined space inspection and education

Building upon our legged robot expertise developed over a number of years, we introduce Gizmo, our latest and smallest member of the Syropod family.

Gizmo has been designed with state of the art servo motors to be compact yet strong enough to carry a payload of up to 2kg in to hard-to-access areas.

One of the motivating application for this robot is to inspect and map ceiling cavity and underfloor type confined spaces.

The small form factor, easy control interface and the fact that it runs off a Raspberry Pi computer makes it an ideal platform for robotics education as well.  For more information, please contact Navinda Kottege or Ryan Steindl.
