CSIRO Data61 AgTech at the Banana Congress
May 22, 2019 - May 24, 2019
CSIRO Data61 AgTech Cluster for Robotics and Autonomous Systems will showcase at two stands some of the latest AgTech technologies in the Australian banana industry’s premier event on the Gold Coast in May 22-24th 2019.
Held every two years, this Congress is a unique opportunity for all those involved in producing the nation’s most-loved fruit to gather under one roof and share ideas.
The 13th Congress is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, with a new format, a stand-out location and a diverse range of speakers and exhibitors.
Dr Peyman Moghadam, our AgTech Cluster Leader says “Australian Banana industry is facing challenges such as lack of labour, disease outbreaks, droughts and floods. The Robotics and Autonomous System Group is well positioned to tackle these issues given its experience in the AgTech sector, as well as a highly skilled team which includes world class researchers and engineers. We have demonstrated the first beyond line of sight drone technology, the first driverless farm vehicle as well as early crop disease prediction using machine learning and hyperspectral imaging.”
