Embodied AI – R+ Postgraduate Top-Up Scholarships 2020
Do you want to work for one of the world’s leading research organisations, doing ground breaking Robotics research to solve real-world challenges? Then read on.
The opportunity
The Robotics & Autonomous System Group at CSIRO’s Data61 are seeking a motivated PhD student to pioneer a new paradigm to form prediction in-situ through techniques called embodied AI.
Embodied AI agents interact with environment and exploit/share knowledge of their actions/movements (spatiotemporal streams) to serve as self-supervisory signals with minimum human supervision.
You will be provided with access to our leading scientists and mentors, and real-life experience working in the robotics area while completing your studies. You will also see your solution deployed in the real-world, in collaboration with domain scientists.
The top-up is available to any PhD student enrolled at an Australian University and will provide $8500 p.a. for 3 years. The successful applicant will be expected to have already secured an RTP or similar ‘main’ scholarship.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected based on experience, programming and communication skills, as well as academic record.
How to apply
Prospective students should send the following documents in single .pdf file to Dr. Peyman Moghadam (peyman.moghadam@csiro.au) with the subject “Embodied AI Topup”, including:
