After a competitive application process, Dr Paulo Borges, Principal Research Scientist and Robotics Perception Team Leader for the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group has been awarded the prestigious Churchill Fellowship.
Paulo is one of one hundred and fifteen visionary Australians from all walks of life who will be overseas in 2020 for the opportunity to work with leaders of influence to gain and exchange knowledge as well as experience for the betterment of themselves, their industry, community and Australia.
More specifically, Paulo will look at bridging the gap between autonomous vehicles and individuals with mobility difficulties by visiting high-profile research institutions in the United States.
