The video game-like experience was designed to inspire scientific learning, and was created conjointly by CSIRO scientists and online education developers IntoScience and 3P. IntoScience publisher Sally Miles said the Jenolan Caves system was laser-mapped using CSIRO's Zebedee 3D scanner, then this information was brought into the IntoScience platform to create an incredibly detailed replica of the caves as a 3D environment.
