Innovation and Excellence Day is the major annual event for QCAT providing a relaxed and collegial environment for presentation and discussion of research, innovation and technology development between research providers, government institutions and industry. Date and Location
Friday 16 August 2013 at 12.30 – 5.00pm AEST in the QCAT Lecture Theatre, 1 Technology Court, Pullenvale, 4069.

This year’s theme, Queensland Gas 2020, will focus on the research challenges relating to the Queensland unconventional gas landscape; including shale gas, coal seam gas and underground coal gasification. Speakers for the event are being drawn from the research community and policy makers to investigate all aspects of gas production from engineering challenges to environmental controls and water management. The aim is to highlight the breadth of research being conducted at CSIRO that is focused on the challenges facing the unconventional gas industry. The presentations will be fifteen minutes in duration with a five minute question time.
