CSIRO‘s Nutrition & Health Program has over 30 years of success in researching the complex interplay between health (of individuals, populations and the environment), food and consumer choice across the life course.
Our research in food and nutrition spans the entire value chain, and our expertise ranges from improving the nutritional qualities of food to providing the scientific expertise needed to support health claims. We are also supporting better health for all Australians, working with both private and public sectors to bring scientifically validated health programs, tools and more to communities and individuals. Furthermore, our research aims at developing innovative solutions to better detect and prevent chronic illnesses including cancer, Alzheimer’s and metabolic diseases.
