QUT engineering students visiting CSIRO

September 2nd, 2019

Last week, the Distributed Sensing Systems Group along with the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group at CSIRO’s Data61 welcomed approximately 150 engineering students from the Queensland University of Technology.

The engaged crowd got an in-depth view of BLEAT, our tracking technology; as well as our ear tags sensors for livestock management.

The tour also included the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group’s autonomous cars and autonomous aerial vehicles; wheeled and legged robots; as well as their 3D mapping technology.

Technical visits to our facilities, guest talks, and competitions are just some examples of our outreach initiatives.
