Carly Tozer Presents at STEM-X Workshop
DCFP’s Carly Tozer is passionate about increasing STEM teachers’ capacity to deliver quality science education and on 27 September, she took part in a STEM-X workshop at Bayview Secondary College in Hobart.
At the workshop, Carly worked with a small group of teachers in an advisory and mentoring capacity, speaking about the type of work she does and her thoughts about how to stimulate interest in science in kids and young adults.
Attendees worked through a range of real-world scenarios; identifying the key problems, developing potential solutions and communicating them to the audience of fellow teacher and scientists.
Along with Questacon, CSIRO is an official partner of the STEM-X Academy, as part of our commitment to delivering innovative learning opportunities to schools, teachers and the wider community.
