Welcome our Postdoc Research Fellow: Dr. Can Peng
We are very pleased to announce Dr. Can Peng joined the Embodied AI research cluster at the CSIRO Robotics and Autonomous Systems group as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Before joining CSIRO, she pursued her PhD at the University of Queensland (UQ). Her PhD thesis explored incremental learning on image classification and object detection tasks. Prior to her PhD, she received her Bachelors in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at UQ. Can’s research focuses on incremental learning and domain generalization which can be deployable on various robotics platforms to improve their real-application ability.
“CSIRO is one of the best research platforms in Australia and provides plenty of support and opportunities for young researchers. When I submitted my thesis and started thinking about my future career, I would like to continue research in academia. Luckily, I find the job hiring information online for this lifelong learning position from the CSIRO Embodied AI. It is my pleasure to be selected for this position and join CSIRO. I am very interested in continue exploring in the AI area, especially in the lifelong learning and embodied AI area. Exploring the memorizing and interaction capability of deep learning models is an important step to improving their real-life application ability.” Can says.
Welcome to the #TeamCSIRO.
