Outreach: close to 100 teachers and students visit CSIRO’s QCAT

To wrap our strong support to STEM education in 2019, earlier this month we hosted approximately 100 teachers and students from North Lakes State College, Mansfield State High Schools as well as student ambassadors and teachers from the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA).

The CSIRO team based at QCAT once again pulled together fantastic demonstrations and presentations of CSIRO’s research, engineering and development capabilities.

All students asked a lot of questions, exciting us that we may have some excellent future scientists and engineers from this great group.

Technical visits to our facilities & robots, guest talks, and competitions are just some examples of our outreach initiatives.
