The 2018 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2018) will be held for the first time in Madrid, Spain. IROS is a flagship conference in the field of robotics and the biggest international event for researchers, companies and end-users.

The conference has a full agenda running from 01-05 October 2018. It will showcase the most recent and major advances in the field, accompanied by a large robotic exhibition.

Under the motto of “Towards a Robotic Society”, the conference will cover all the R&D activities as Plenary & Keynote presentations, Technical ones in mixed oral/interactive format, Special Sessions, Workshops & Tutorials, Forums, and more.

With five papers accepted at the conference, the CSIRO’s Data61 Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group will be represented by Dr Paulo Borges, Dr Mark Cox, and PhD Student Marcus Hoerger, who are headed to Madrid this week.
